Majestic Colorado Summers

Piney LakeColorado is magic in the summertime. Most of us think of powder snow when we consider the Rockies, but those same mountains that bring winter fun deliver an unbelievable experience in the summertime, too.

With fun festivals, outdoor music concerts, mountain biking, fishing, hiking, wildflower-peeping, or just enjoying the stunning greenery of the mountains, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Here are some of our favorite summer activities to enjoy in Colorado:

Biking

Colorado offers outstanding options for mountain biking, road biking, and gravel riding. With fresh, crisp mountain air, endless blue skies, and surrounding mountains. What better place to enjoy a summer ride?

Hiking

With lush greenery, mountain vistas, and pristine lakes, Colorado is an ideal location for your summer hikes. With local favorites, such as Gilpin Lake in Steamboat, Piney River Falls in Vail, and Burro Trail in Breckenridge, there are plenty of choices for your group.

Enjoying the View

Sometimes the best part of visiting the mountains is just being in the mountains. Quiet mornings with a cup of coffee, lunch on a sun-drenched deck, happy hour refreshments, or sunset watching. Take things slow and soak in the beauty of summer.

Wildflowers

The best way to experience the glorious summer wildflowers in Colorado is by hitting the trails on your own two feet. Wildflowers peak mid-late July or into August, depending on the year. Our team can give you tips on the best time and best places to catch the wildflowers.
