Top 5 Expert Ski Secrets in Breckenridge

Trying to find some lesser-known spots to ski in Breckenridge? We've got some secrets for you. These are not for the light-of-heart, make sure you are secure in your skills before trying out most of these hidden gems.

1. The Dunes

Head over between Peak 6 and Peak 7 and you can enjoy long, open runs with breathtaking views. This adventurous spot is great if you're trying to avoid the crowds. Shhhh....

2. Wonderland

Breckenridge, Peak 6, WonderlandOn Peak 6's north-facing slopes this spot offers powder runs even late in the day. Enjoy some thrilling steep pitch runs without many other folks around.

 

 

 

 

 

3. Boreas

In the lower mountain area of Peak 8, this spot is great to hit before the upper mountain opens. Enjoy the fun moguls, steep pitches and gladed runs. 

4. Peak 10 

Breckenridge, Peak 10The last and highest of Breckenridge's peaks, you will find that Peak 10 is less crowded any day of the season. Ride some moguls and tree runs. 

 

 

 

 

 

5. Twin Chutes 

Twin Chutes, BreckenridgeReady for an adventure? 20 minutes of uphill travel on the upper end of Peak 9 will get you here. This very low traffic, gladed run is worth the trek! The furthest twin is your best bet for powder seekers. You'll be funneled into the bumpy run, Rick's Run Out. Good luck on this absolute favorite!
