Guests at Rocking Chair Lodge will love this stunning 7-bedroom residence located at The Porches, a luxury home community at the gateway to the Steamboat Ski Area.

With 10,400 finished square ft. this home provides an amazing opportunity for a multi-generational family or corporate group to spend time together. The custom finishes are top-of-the-line throughout, including beautiful wood and stone floors, floor to ceiling tile in all bathrooms and four gas fireplaces with custom ironwork.

The large great room is open to the floor above with exposed wood beams creating an expansive and inviting space. Your group can relax on the oversized couches while enjoying the fireplace or TV. Out on the deck, complete with outdoor fireplace, drink in the mountain views from the home's signature rocking chairs.

The professional kitchen is any chef’s dream. It is equipped with Sub-Zero double refrigerators, freezer drawers, ice maker and wine and beverage refrigerators. The AGA range consists of seven ovens, four gas burners, two hotplates, and a warming plate. To finish out the chef’s fantasy, there are two Asko dishwashers, a built-in Miele espresso maker, convection oven/microwave, copper farm sinks and a double island made of stunning banded ironstone. The outside island has seating for four people with a large TV overhead.

For indulging in the food your chef has put together, there is a gorgeous 12-person granite dining table. It’s the perfect place to gather and share the adventures of the day.

The master suite on the main floor features a one-of-a-kind, custom, 90 sq.ft. bed, rock fireplace and access to the front patio. The spacious and luxurious master bath boasts a towel warmer and large jetted bathtub that will welcome you after a winter day on the slopes. The upper level of the home has five additional bedrooms, including a suite with a queen bed, full kitchen, and access to the upper deck with a hot tub. There is also a bunk room with three twin and three full beds, and two bedrooms one with a queen bed and one with a king bed. There is a second master with a California king bed. All bedrooms have their own beautifully tiled bathrooms.

The lower level of this home is where entertaining is at its best. The media room offers a large movie screen and reclining theater seats for the ultimate movie night. For your refreshments, there is a full wet bar with a beverage refrigerator and freezer. There is also a pool table and a fireplace in the bar area. In the next room over you’ll find ping pong and foosball tables. If that isn’t enough entertainment, there is a 14-foot high climbing wall. There is also a new, large conference room ready for your business needs. A king bedroom with attached bathroom sits conveniently off the bar and theater areas.

This home boasts the largest deck at The Porches with an outdoor fireplace and magnificent view of the ski mountain. The Porches amenities are one of the biggest attractions to this neighborhood and include a 6000 square foot "barn" with heated outdoor pool and hot tubs, outdoor BBQ deck and fire pit, fitness center, kids' playroom, business center, and great room.

SHUTTLE
This home enjoys complimentary use of the Moving Mountains shuttle, mid-November through mid-April, using the convenient shuttle app to schedule pickups. Skip the hassle of a rental car and let us take you where you need to go.

Moving Mountains has a Guest Services Team, offering full-service vacation planning assistance prior to your trip. You will be assigned a dedicated specialist who will guide you through all the activities and services available. You will also have access to our online Guest Portal where you can find extensive details about your reservation, your residence and guest services.

IN HOME AMENITIES
All Moving Mountains properties have WIFI and come fully stocked with paper products (paper towels, toilet paper, tissues), bathroom toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap), and detergents (dish, dishwasher and laundry) as well as clean bed linens and towels. In addition, the kitchens are stocked with aluminum foil, plastic wrap, trash bags, sponges, soap, salt and pepper, coffee, tea, Nespresso, cookware, bakeware, dishes, glasses, utensils and standard small appliances.

This home does not have air conditioning. Colorado's cool summer nights will keep this home comfortable by opening windows after the sun goes down, and then closing the windows and blinds during the day. Utilizing the overhead fans, if available, keeps airflow moving, and additional floor fans can be found in many bedroom closets. Can't live without it? A/C units may be available for rent for an additional fee.

I took my family to the "Rocking Chair Lodge", managed and supported by Moving Mountains. We have enjoyed the gorgeous home two years now, and celebrated my Dad's 90th and 91st birthdays. The home is exceptional with state-of-the-art technology, and top notch features with comfort for all who visit. Moving Mountains has a very supportive, responsive, and friendly management team.... they (Jill) always welcome us with a friendly Hello and introduction to the the property. They always are quick to respond to any support issues to aid our stay. The home is really incredibly furnished, and more room than we ever need. The kitchen is amazing, porch with rocking chairs and grill are always enjoyable, and the entertainment room with billiards and other gaming always keep us entertained. Steamboat is awesome, and this property managed by Moving Mountains is 5 star! The "Porches" across the street is handy with an adequate gym, and pool/jacuzzi, and also supported by a very friendly staff.... so it's easy to stay fit during your stay at the "Rocking Chair Lodge." Thanks Jill and Adam and Moving Mountains for a 2nd great week. All the best, and we hope to be back, David

Incredible experience all around. The staff at moving mountains were delightful and took great care of us. They took care of all the details including bringing a small gift for our youngest. Also booked a couple of outstanding outings and made our family reunion amazing. I could not recommend more highly.

The Rocking Chair home was terrific: spacious, sparkling clean, fully stocked, with several extra touches to make our stay wonderful (comfy robes and slippers!, upscale toiletries, plush and extra large towels, midweek cleaning). The Moving Mountains team were head and shoulders above any management company I've dealt with-from start to finish they made sure we were well served (ex: DW wouldn't shut off, and a repair man was at the door within an hour). Everyone who worked with my family deserve a five star rating.

This house was amazing! The amenities were great with something for kids to play, while adults also had entertainment. The house was big enough for everyone to have their own room and space to find some solitude. Moving Mountains employees were always kind and attentive. Can’t speak highly enough about them!

We worked with Jenny, Sarah, and Heather and all were wonderful!  Our vacation was incredible, the shuttle was always timely and courteous, and our accommodations were very clean and well stocked.  The personal chef (Sami) did a fabulous job at preparing an incredible meal.  So all in all, I highly recommend this service-very professional and friendly

Had a family ski week at Steamboat last week. Stayed at the Rocking Chair Lodge which we rented through Moving Mountains. This was our second time to go with Moving Mountains for a Steamboat trip, and we would all highly recommend them. "Had a family ski week at Steamboat last week. Stayed at the Rocking Chair Lodge which we rented through Moving Mountains. This was our second time to go with Moving Mountains for a Steamboat trip, and we would all highly recommend them. The house itself was incredible, ""over the top"", with plenty of room for our large group. The kitchen was magnificent, and the basement playroom area was great for the younger kids!
Dealing with Moving Mountains was a pleasure, from pre-trip planning to check-in to dealing with them during the vacation week itself. Maybe the coolest feature was the on call shuttle service, which was quick, reliable, and safe.

Multi generational trip! Perfect set up

Was very Impressed with Jenny from MM who manages the property. She helped plan our whole visit and regularly checked in. The one downside was just how tricky some of the high end appliances are, but there is a guide for everything. We slept well, loved the front porch, used the AGA stove and had plenty of space with the enormous basement! We loved the location and friendly neighbors. Would rent again!
