Description

This impressive lodge consists of two private homes and holds a commanding position overlooking the Steamboat ski area. These residences are perfect for large families to remain a quick walk away. The two residences are each equipped with an elevator and have a stunning open staircase constructed of timbers and steel which descends alongside four story windows.

Enter either residence from the top level with heated garage and built-in lockers that provide plenty of space for coats and snow boots. Both main floors feature great room with vaulted ceilings, wide-plank rustic wood flooring and oversize stone fireplaces. The open floor plan connects the living area to the gourmet kitchen and dining area.

The kitchens feature professional appliances throughout and large islands to gather around. Covered recessed balconies extend the living areas into the great outdoors with views of the slopes, gondola and base area.

On each side of the home there is seating for 12 at the main dining room table and room to seat five more at the kitchen island. On the middle levels there are additional kitchens, dining and living areas.

Master bedrooms have gas fireplaces and private access to covered balconies. On the middle level the bunkrooms can be converted into two smaller bedrooms allowing for flexibility with sleeping arrangements. Additional master suites with private baths offer views of the valley and the Sleeping Giant mountain.

A third gathering area with sports bar/recreation room can be found on each lower level. The flat screen TVs mean you won't miss a play during a big game, and rivalries can be settled over the pool table. The bars have small refrigerators, wine refrigerators and dishwashers. This level opens up to covered decks with hot tubs. Half bathrooms are conveniently located on all three levels of the homes.

Due to the impressive floor plans of both residences with over 14,000 square feet combined, these homes feel more like staying in your own private lodge rather than a vacation home. For smaller groups of up to 16 guests we can offer the option of the north and south lodges individually. Please note these homes are not connected internally and access to each side is from the main entry door.

Ski access is easy with our Moving Mountains on-call shuttle service to pick you up from the door and deliver you to Gondola Square. The shuttle also runs to downtown Steamboat to the shopping and restaurants (winter only.)

Perfect Home for Two Families

We had two families staying together for a wedding weekend and this house was perfect! It was furnished beautifully. The living spaces, bedrooms, and bathrooms were spacious. The deck accommodated 30 plus people while we had a chef preparing a dinner in the well appointed kitchen. There was plenty of garage parking and also outdoor parking. Jenny and Teresa at Moving Mountains Rental were absolutely great to work with!

Moving Mountains came recommended by an event coordinator friend of mine and they did not disappoint.  Everything we could have possibly needed was considered, offered and followed up on.  Craig was professional, timely, helpful and generous with sharing information as well as tracking deadlines with me.  He took the time to get to know (and remember) our needs over the several months we worked together, and he customized his customer service to our company.  The place was absolutely spectacular and got rave reviews from employees and customers alike. And the on-call shuttle was a huge hit as well.  Overall, our company was exceedingly happy with the experience and we're already looking to schedule another 1-2 weekends next year.  Thanks for an outstanding experience from beginning to end!!

Beautiful View & Property - Summer 2018

These "Homes" are beautiful and have a wonderful view. This property is 2 homes side by side, not 1 home as advertised. If you choose to stay at this property for all 10 bedrooms, be advised that these homes are not connected with adjoining doorways for ease of access to each side. You will need to exit the house at the main entrance and walk to the next house main entrance to visit those staying on the other side. We had 22 family members on this trip and we are used to sharing common areas and gathering all together. We felt separated on this property. These homes do have everything well stocked in the kitchen, bathrooms, and common areas. The offered a personal concierge service and suggested many summer activities in Steamboat. They responded quickly to any issues we had with the home. It would be a great idea if adjoining locking doorways could be added to this property for easier access to each side if renting both sides.

LOVED this place. Moving Mountains did a great job hosting our family reunion. The # of bedroom, the space and the house were perfect four our gathering. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed for a great stay! Would 100% recommend them and stay there again! The views were breathtaking, our favorite time of day was sunset. We visited during the summer and there is so much to do in Steamboat. Worth seeing for your self.

We stayed at Falconhead with a group of 15 adults. The lodge is two mirror image homes joined by a wall. Total square footage is 14,000! Of the five bedrooms one each side, I would describe four as masters with en-suite bathrooms. The home is beautiful with sweeping views of Steamboat. The service Moving Mountains provides is top notch - they handle everything from airport pick-up, stocking the fridge, to shuttle service to the base mountain and all around town. The home and service is even better than advertised. This trip was for business purposes. I plan on returning and using the home for a family reunion.

Falconhead South----The first time that my two kids and seven grandchildren all stayed under one roof...The home itself took away any concerns that I might have had. Its large enough to "assign" spaces to everyone but small enough not to feel cramped with a group of six adults and 7 children under the age of 12. It perfectly met our needs. And I would recommend highly to "buy" the concierge package...I would do without...its like chartering a motor yacht with a full compliment of crew...I didn't have to lift a finger...everything was done as asked, from restaurant reservations, ski rentals, lift tickets,non ski activities to the waiting cocktail at days end. Having the "team" look after my family was a great experience..while at the same time a curse..as no one wanted to leave...Guess we'll be back.
