Colorado has worked to reduce the spread of COVID-19 through numerous Public Health Orders, and we must keep it up. The virus is still present in Colorado and cases have risen in some counties recently.  Everyone, including visitors, needs to do their part for themselves, their loved ones, and our community.

Colorado uses a COVID Dial dial framework with six color levels to provide guidance to counties. Counties can move back and forth between levels, depending primarily on three metrics. Levels are based on the number of new cases, the percent positivity of COVID-19 tests, and the impact on hospitals, as well as local considerations. As the dial moves left, toward Protect Our Neighbors, more people can participate in various activities. This framework gives communities a tool to make life in the pandemic more sustainable.

Since June 1st we have been accepting reservations for lodging in Steamboat Springs, Vail, and Beaver Creek. We revamped our cleaning protocols and introduced contactless check-in procedures and had very few concerns over the summer months as we welcomed many familiar families back to the mountains.

We need to be vigilant with social distancing and ensure we prevent the community spread of COVID.

SOS - SAVE  OUR SEASON - STOP OUR SPREAD

Moving Mountains is proud to be a supporting member of this community-led grassroots movement to reduce the spread of COVID in our communities by encouraging smart decision making to reduce close social contacts. Since launch in November 2020, we have avoided a spike in cases over Thanksgiving and we have seen local COVID cases declining in December. Following increased community spread in January, we have ramped up our efforts and are continuing to work on messaging to reduce the spread of COVID.

Locals are making great personal sacrifices to reduce the spread of the virus. We ask you to do everything you can to help us sustain low COVID cases throughout the winter.
