The Vail Valley offers several convenient options to fly into the area. Most travelers enjoy flying directly into the Eagle County Regional Airport, which is about 45 minutes from the Vail Valley. Alternatively, you can fly into the Denver airport and choose from several transportation options after arriving.

Flying to the Vail Valley in the Winter

There is no shortage of flight options in the winter when trying to get to the Vail Valley in Colorado. Delta, United, and American Airlines all offer daily flights from major airports like Atlanta, Austin - NEW!, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York (JFK and LGA), Newark, Phoenix, and San Francisco. If you don't live near a major city you may also enjoy flying to Denver and then taking a second flight from Denver to Eagle County Regional Airport.

Flying to the Vail Valley in the Summer

Getting to the Vail Valley in the summer is easy too! For most locations, your best route is to fly into Denver and then grab a United Airlines flight directly to the Eagle County Regional Airport. If you're close to Dallas / Fort Worth, Texas there are daily American Airlines flights to Eagle County Regional Airport.

FROM THE AIRPORT

You have several transportation options if you're flying into the Eagle County Regional Airport. You can rent a car, take the Valley Commuter or take the Epic Mountain Express. If you're renting a car, simply take I-70 East for about 29 miles to exit 176 Vail.
