Description

Situated in the historic district of downtown Breckenridge, Hideaway on High is a renovated and modern home with classic style and undeniable charm.

The entire main level of this stylish, two-story home functions as the heart of the home with two individual living areas gracefully flowing from one to the other, each with its own fireplace, comfortable seating and plenty of natural light. Easy access to the back patio, invites a late night trip to the private hot tub under the stars.

A central gourmet kitchen is any chef’s delight, reflecting well-designed stylishness with sleek granite countertops, custom cabinetry and a massive center island with cooktop and seating for 3 onlookers. A beautiful wood table for 6 sits adjacent, the perfect set up for family meals.

All three bedrooms are on the upstairs level of the Hideaway, accented with the same beautiful hard wood flooring as downstairs. A lovely primary king suite has mountain views, a gas fireplace, a TV, private deck access to enjoy remarkable sunsets. An ensuite bath maintains the character of the home with dual pedestal vanities, large walk-in shower and soaking tub. Down the hall is an inviting queen bedroom and a family bedroom with a queen bed and twin over full bunk. Both share a bathroom with a shower and vintage pedestal sink.

Outside in the summer months, the wrought iron gate and meandering stone pathway add an eclectic border to the enchantment of the wildflower landscaped yard. The back porch is a separate continuation of the traditional wood plank porch with a gas barbecue grill. Step over to the steamy hot tub, which sits adjacent to a stone footpath with a café table for four in summer, surrounded by an overflowing wildflower landscape.

Other amenities include three gas fireplaces, wine refrigerator, laundry room, deck and patio with grilling area, 2-bay garage with parking for 3 cars total.

This home is pet-friendly with an additional fee and written approval. Please contact us for details.

The perfect rental!

5
Reviewed:
March 2023

From start to finish, Moving Mountains was just a delight to work with! Hideaway on High was the perfect rental for our family because of the location to Main Street and how the house is set up. Spacious kitchen and plenty of places to curl up by yourself or play games with the family. A cozy/comfy home with 2 fireplaces we used the whole time we were there. The 2 car garage was a gift because it snowed almost every night and we loved the hot tub too! The team at Moving Mountains were so responsive to questions prior to, and during our stay. We were greeted with a welcome bag of goodies, we had a few items we needed and they were there in under 15 minutes to help us out! We had a mishap with a bowl of oatmeal flipping over as it was going into the microwave and all the oatmeal fell into the toaster! Sent a text to Moving Mountains and they came right over with a brand-new toaster! The free shuttle was incredibly easy to use and the drivers were all so friendly! We have rented VRBO's all over the world and now if ever I have a chance to use Moving Mountains as our vacation rental company, we will definitely do so. Great Job Team Moving Mountains!!

I highly recommend this quaint/historic home for your next family getaway near the cute town of Breckenridge. We enjoyed cooking in the fully-stocked kitchen, cocktails and sunsets on the deck off the master bedroom, chilling in the hot tub while grilling dinner, coffee on the porch in the mornings, taking the dogs to Carter dog park for their daily run (but it was convenient to let the dogs out in the fenced front yard before bed), and soaking in the claw foot tub. The best part, was that it was only a 3 block walk down to Main street for shopping, renting bikes, and restaurants (make sure you eat at both Aurum & Root Stock). The staff were friendly, professional, and very efficient when a minor home repair was needed. I can't wait to rent from them again.

Terrific home with loads of space to spend a pandemic 4th of July. Though Breck is open, it's weird and cozier to stay in to eat. The kitchen is big and perfect (though condiments beyond salt & pepper would be helpful as would tin foil, etc). The hot tub was great after long hikes, we also loved the proximity of a large park for our dog and outdoor games.

Great stay. Thank you for being dog friendly. We loved the kitchen and living areas. The bed rooms were spacious and comfortable. However, I believe the master bed needs a new mattress. It’s a bit saggy. Also, the master bedroom is very hot since the thermostat is in the bunk room. We found a space heater and put in bunk room to warm that room to keep master cooler. Location was great: close to restaurants and town and lifts. Dog park down street and fenced in area was also a great benefit. Laundry, garage, and parking also a major benefit. Great stay great place.

The location is terrific — short walk to downtown shops and restaurants plus there is a dog park and hiking trails in the next block. The doors stuck & could be difficult to open & we wish that there were screens on the windows as a mosquito and dragonfly found their way inside. Also, wish that there were brighter reading lamps as there were lots of spots to curl up w/ a good book, but the lighting was problematic. One more “wish,” that we didn’t have to leave such a WONDERFUL property. They say that there is no place like home, but this place is a close second. Thanks.

I am probably the biggest critic and very pick about where I stay. However, hideaway on high was absolutely Stunning! Upon arrival, the house was cleaned spotless and stocked with all of the essentials. The location is great for all the hot restaurants and shopping. You can also walk to the sledding park just down the street. We stayed for Christmas week and the kitchen was PERFECT for cooking a big holiday meal (I want an island like the one in hideaway in my own home now!) I could go on for days about how great this home is, but just book it and see for yourself! You will not be disappointed! Side note: my only disappointment was the hot water heater! We discovered our first night when we got off the slopes and wanted to show for dinner than there was only enough hot water for about 2 showers. :-( We learned quickly to rotate showers throughout the day with 10 ppl staying in the house.

My group of 10 ladies were very impressed with this property. We had plenty of space to sleep comfortably, and there was no shortage of linens or towels. While we did not have any additional towels for the hot tub, we were able to use the washer and dryer. There was a mud room right off the garage which made it easy to keep the rest of the house clean and dry. We also enjoyed the large kitchen, which was fully stocked with dishes and other necessities. The rest of the home was also spacious. We were a just a couple blocks from Main St and never felt the need to drive to the restaurants or slopes. Perfect location - just steps away from the dog park and sled hill and a few short blocks from all the action on Main St. Beautiful mountain views from the front porch and master bedroom balcony. The house was well maintained and the interior is even nicer than the pictures. The huge kitchen had everything we needed to make some big family meals. It was great having an attached garage and giant mud room, and the fenced front yard made it easy to let the dogs in and out. The gas grill and hot tub off the back porch were in working order and put to good use! I'm already dreaming of my next stay at the Hideaway on High.
