Description

Chalet Tarentaise was completely remodeled in 2016. It offers 270 degree views of the valley to the gondola. Ideally located in a quiet neighborhood, this home allows you to enjoy peace and serenity while remaining close to the action of the ski village.

Nature abounds in this neighborhood. At different times of the year blue jays, hawks, fox, raccoon, black bears, dear, elk and moose can be found in the yard. Imagine sitting in your own private hot tub on the large outdoor deck and watching the parade of wildlife and beautiful sunsets. Stay out late enough and be dazzled by the Milky Way.

This is the perfect home to watch the fireworks from Howelsen Hill. And remember, fireworks aren’t just for the 4th of July. Steamboat loves fireworks year round!

The abundant natural materials, high end finishes and incredible views are all very appealing. The large open main floor has plenty of room and comfortable seating for everyone to gather around the cozy gas fireplace in the winter or enjoy the large deck with a natural gas grill in the summer. A powder room is located on the main floor.

A well-appointed, spacious, gourmet kitchen on the main floor allows your aspiring chef to fully participate in the conversation while preparing delicious meals for everyone. The beautiful kitchen has granite counter-tops, a gas stove and everything necessary to entertain your group in style. The dining room table has seating for 10 and the breakfast bar in the kitchen seats another 4 so everyone can dine together comfortably.

The four bedrooms are located upstairs away from the main floor activity. The large master bedroom has a comfortable king bed and private bathroom with a large shower and dual sinks. Wake up in the master looking at Mt. Werner and the gondola. The queen ensuite bedroom also has beautiful views of the mountain and the valley to Sleeping Giant. The last two bedrooms share a jack and jill bathroom. The bedroom views capture the south valley and Sleeping Giant. One room offers a queen bed with a large walk in closet. The last bedroom has two extra long twin beds which can be made up to a king depending on your group’s needs. Each bedroom has cable tv. A queen sleeper sofa is available in the living room, if an extra bed is needed.

Chalet Tarentaise includes some often overlooked features specifically added for your comfort. The bedrooms are designed to provide plenty of natural light and take advantage of the incredible views this home offers. All four bedrooms have blackout shades – so if early morning light is not your idea of awesome, we’ve got you covered. Each bedroom also has a ceiling fan and two USB duplex outlets on either side of the bed. Each of the three upstairs bathrooms has a built in night light.

This home includes everything you would expect from a luxury home, including, free Wi-Fi, washer/dryer, plush towels, and luxurious bath robes. Moving Mountains’ homes are fully stocked with essentials like laundry detergent, dishwasher tablets, cling film, foil wrap, sandwich bags, trash bags and paper products as well as our premium all-natural toiletries so everything you need is on-hand.

The spacious 2 car garage, covered carport and mudroom offer plenty of space to store all your gear and boot warmers mean dry boots for a pleasant start to any ski day. Our private ski shuttle will transport you to the lifts and back during the day, and to downtown in the evening so a rental car is not needed here.

Beautiful home - fantastic service

We had a wonderful time at Chalet Tarentaise! Great space for a large gathering on the main level and nice bedrooms and bathrooms. We had 7 adults and 2 children. Parking space was more than ample. Large car port in addition to a 2 car garage and large driveway. The back deck overlooks the valley with an unobstructed view. We were there for the fall colors and it was gorgeous. Could also hear the elk bugling. The kitchen had everything we needed for meal prep and lots of room for several cooks. Steamboat is such a beautiful, friendly town. Finally, the people At moving mountains were so helpful. They stopped in to make sure everything was working properly and helped us book spa appointments. This was a great experience all around.

Great time at Chalet Tarentaise!

We enjoyed a wonderful week in Steamboat Springs. The weather and fall colors were awesome! The folks at Moving Mountains were very friendly and helpful. There were 7 adults in our group, and Chalet Tarentaise was perfect for us. The 4 large bedrooms upstairs had comfortable bedding and nice window coverings to block out the early daylight when we wanted them to. The main floor was a huge common living area with a very nice large kitchen. We cooked most of our meals in the kitchen or on the gas grill on the deck. The deck had a nice view of the mountains to west, and we enjoyed watching the sunset behind those mountains each night. We also enjoyed the hot tub on the deck after two full days of fly fishing with North Park Anglers (highly recommended).

From the safety of the deck, we watched a bear eating some sort of berries from a large bush or small tree at the house next door on two evenings. It was so cool! The bear came out late in the evening, so it was helpful to have binoculars to watch it in low light.

We’d definitely stay at Chalet Tarentaise again, and appreciate the helpfulness of Moving Mountains.

Chalet Tarentaise is true 5 star accommodation! The house is immaculate and outfitted for luxurious living. The spacious open floor plan and modern chef’s kitchen made the stay for our family delightful. The convenience to the ski mountain, shopping, and dining made getting around very easy. We could not have asked for more and plan to stay st the Chalet again next year.
