Steamboat Ski Area offers world-class skiing, its famous Champagne Powder® snow, and some of the finest tree skiing in the world.
There are trails for all levels and even beginners can enjoy the breathtaking view from the top of the Gondola to the Flattops before taking turns on a beginner run.
Night skiing is available at Howelsen Hill in downtown and the Steamboat Springs Resort. Howelsen Hill is Colorado's oldest ski area in continuous use having opened in 1915. If you are lucky, you may be able to witness some ski jumping at the area's Nordic Skiing complex.
There are a variety of ski rental companies in Steamboat. We recommend Christy Sports / Door 2 Door or Blacktie. They offer a great service and can provide you with the right equipment for your ski ability.
