Off the slopes, there's no better way to relax than in one of Steamboat's area hot springs. The hot springs were the original tourist attraction in Steamboat drawing Native Americans (and later settlers) to the area. Soaking in the springs and letting your tired muscles relax is a perfect way to end a day of skiing.
You have two different soaking options when it comes to indulging in the hot springs of Steamboat:
Strawberry Park Hot Springs
Strawberry Park features one of the most spectacular mineral springs in the world. Relax in 102-104-degree mineral pools or enjoy a massage in one of the beautiful private massage huts or a watsu therapy in the private pool. Perfect for relaxing after a day on the slopes. Strawberry Park is 4 miles out of town, so you will need transportation which we can arrange - or we provide as a convenience with our luxury catered chalet package. Please note that the road to Strawberry Park Hot Springs requires 4 wheel drive and snow tires or chains. If you don’t have a car or don’t want to drive, you can opt for a shuttle service which we can book for you.
Old Town Hot Springs
Old Town Hot Springs downtown offers a family-friendly aquatic adventure kind of experience. Amenities include a lap pool, a water slide, kiddie pools, and then, of course, hot mineral pools, ranging from 98 to 103 degrees. All hot pools are open year-round. There’s also a climbing wall and a full workout center. It’s conveniently located in downtown Steamboat. Walking distance from our downtown chalets at The Olympian or shuttle distance (in the wintertime) from our mountain chalets).
