January will be Steamboat's Powder Month

We will remember December 2016 in Steamboat as the month that it snowed, and snowed, and snowed...

We're not joking: 22 of the past 29 days were snow days (here, we call them "powder days").

And that means that Steamboat is on track for not only an excellent day of January powder skiing, but also a phenomenal ski season.

Snow Report Update:

Trails: 164/165 Open.
Season snowfall: 128 inches.
Base: 52 inches (3^rd best in CO, behind Silverton and Wolf Creek, and better than Vail and Aspen)
