Notice of Owners Pets in Steamboat
Guests are advised that we have two dogs. They are both friendly chocolate labradors called Lola & Ellie. They are often at Moving Mountains Chalet but are kept away from guest accommodations. Guests who may be allergic to dogs should note this information. The owners of Mountain High Chalet also have a dog who spends time in the chalet in the summer months.

Your Contract
Your contract is with Moving Mountains, Inc., a Colorado registered corporation. These terms & conditions will apply to all arrangements made by Moving Mountains Inc., unless otherwise stated in writing. These terms are valid for all arrangements confirmed before Jan 1st, 2005. Properties offered by Moving Mountains Inc are referred to as "Chalet(s)".

Unless otherwise confirmed in writing to you ("The Guest(s)"), the Lodging Packages for The Chalets include lodging and meals and local travel arrangements as described in our promotional literature and Internet web-site. We will confirm arrangements in writing on receipt of your booking deposit.

Unless otherwise stated, packages do not include local sales and lodging tax, airfares, transport from Denver, ski lift tickets, equipment rental, alcoholic beverages, the cost of any activities undertaken by guests during their stay, babysitting, the cost of meals taken outside the Chalets or chalet staff gratuity.

Prior to receipt of your booking deposit all prices are subject to change without notice. Once we receive your booking deposit, along with a signed booking form, your price is guaranteed for the original arrangements.
All prices are subject to a resort fee (1%) & sales and lodging tax (9.4%). Should the tax rate vary from this prior to your booking, adjustments may be made to your final balance.

"Whole Chalet" Bookings
Prices shown for "Whole Chalet" bookings are based on a specified maximum number of adults to stay at each Chalet and enjoy exclusive use of the Chalet and its amenities. The maximum group occupancy total for each Chalet is specified on the Moving Mountains Web-site. "Whole Chalet" bookings by smaller groups than the total maximum occupancy that include Children and Teens may be eligible for discounts that are deducted from the total package rates.

"Select Room" Bookings
A "Select Room" Week is when rooms in the Chalets are available to individuals, couples or smaller groups to book individually.
Prices shown are for a room based on a double occupancy stay (single occupancy and shorter stay rates are available).

B&B Bookings
In the summer months we offer a B&B lodging package for guests who do not wish to book full-service lodging. This package includes full-breakfast and overnight lodging.

Confirming A Reservation
To confirm your reservation(s) please send a deposit of 50% of the total package cost along with a signed booking form. The remaining 50% is due 60 days before your start date. If the start date is more than 6 months away, then an initial deposit of 25% of the total is required at the time of booking, with a further 25% due six months before the start date.

Confirmation of the vacation package by Moving Mountains, Inc. is subject to the receipt of the required deposit in cleared funds and receipt by mail or a fax copy of our booking form with the guest's signature, which confirms acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Check-in/out Times
Check-in time is from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Please call ahead to advise if you will be late. If guests arrive before this time, it may be possible to leave luggage at the Chalet and other activities off-property can be arranged until 4:00 p.m. In the case of a full-service booking please note that lunch is not provided on the arrival day. Check-out is by 10:00 a.m. Late check-out is possible by prior arrangement only.

Telephone/Fax/Internet facilities
For telephone calls while staying at a chalet, guests are requested to use their own Calling Cards or pre-paid Calling Cards. These are usually available for purchase from our staff.

A separate telephone line is provided for guest use at each chalet:

A fax machine is available for guest use in the chalet. Faxes can also be sent to guests via our office (970-870-9487). A computer is provided for guests to access the internet.

Our Commitment to You:
We will strive to provide you with first rate accommodations and meals and to make all arrangements for your local transportation needs and off-property activities as described in our brochures and internet website. To the best of our knowledge this information is accurate.

Your Commitment to Moving Mountains Inc.:
The person making the reservation and signing the booking form is referred to as the "Group Leader". The Group Leader is responsible for advising other guests in their party of these Terms and Conditions. The Group Leader accepts responsibility for the actions of other guests in his or her party when the Group Leader signs our booking form.

It is preferred that group members communicate with Moving Mountains Lodging through their Group Leader. E-mail or fax is preferred over phone conversations as this provides a record of communication that can be retained in the booking file for future reference.

Adventure mountain travel, skiing, snow boarding, and outdoor activities at any time of year involve risks about which the guest(s) must make himself/herself aware. The responsibility of Moving Mountains, Inc. does not extend to cover any liability for personal injury or property damage that occurs while participating in any activities on or off-property arranged by our staff. You participate in all activities at your own risk. Guests must accept the risk of slippery conditions at all times inside and outside of The Chalets.

The guest(s) agree to be responsible for and to replace or make good any injury, damage or destruction to the Chalets, its furnishings, equipment, and/or vehicles caused by himself/herself or by any member of his/her party.

The guest(s) agree to act in a responsible manner towards other guests, chalet staff and neighbors of adjoining properties. If at any time during the package stay a guest acts in an unruly or malicious manner and does not adhere to requests by chalet staff to behave appropriately, he/she will be required to vacate the chalet premises immediately and forfeit all monies for the remainder of his/her stay. Use or possession of illegal drugs, including Marijuana, on the property or in the company's vehicles shall result in the immediate termination of the vacation or lodging package for the guest(s) concerned with forfeiture of all monies paid. The under-age consumption of alcohol by guests, or illegal driving while intoxicated or any accident involving intoxication of guests shall not be the responsibility of Moving Mountains, Inc. or its employees (we shall take what steps we can to avoid such incidents).

Guests agree to abide by Colorado's Motor Vehicle Laws, including the requirement for front seat passengers, and children aged between 4 and 16 seated anywhere in the vehicle, to wear a safety belt. Children under the age of 4 or weighing less than 40 pounds are required to be secured in a restraint system appropriate for their size. A toddler-size car seat and a booster seat are available for guest use. Parents traveling with infants should bring their own car seat or arrange to rent one before arrival. Guests are solely responsible for ensuring that arrangements are made to provide adequate equipment to comply with these laws.

No Smoking
As a courtesy to all of our guests, smoking is not permitted in any part of the Chalets.

Dogs
Guests may not bring pets to the Chalets without prior agreement of the management and strict adherence to special dog rules.

We require the following of you and your four-legged friend:
? No barking.
? If the dog disturbs or threatens a guest or employee of the chalet the dog will be asked to leave.
? The owner is responsible for picking up after the dog.
? The dog is not allowed in the common areas of the chalet (kitchen and great room), only in the guest room of its owner, except to access this guest room. While the dog is not in the guest room it must be on a leash.
? Under no circumstances may the dog be left in the room unattended.
? The owner is responsible for any damage caused by the dog or additional cleaning that may be required.

These are basic requests to a responsible owner and a well-behaved dog.

Cancellations & Refunds
In the case of cancellation, payments that have been made are non-refundable. For this reason we highly recommend purchasing Travel Insurance to protect your vacation plans. Please notify us immediately in writing if you wish to cancel. Group Leaders should make all guests in their party aware of these terms.

Property rental and use for vacation purposes is subject to the zoning and municipal codes applicable to the Chalet location. Should interpretation of zoning regulations restrict the use of the Chalet we will immediately inform you and you shall be offered the opportunity to cancel your reservation and receive a complete refund of lodging costs or to continue the reservation subject to the new regulations.
