10 - 12  25th Annual Yampa River Festival
Includes the annual kayak race, rodeo, slalom and undisputed crowd favorite, the Crazy River Dog Contest (970) 879-4300.

11    Silver Bullet Gondola Opens on weekends (daily from 6/18)
Enjoy a ride up the mountain to the Top of Mt Werner - 9,080ft. Take in the spectacular views or ride a mountain bike down one of the many mountain trails.

11 - 12  The Rio 224 hours - can you do it?4 Hours of Steamboat Mtn Bike Race

14 Strings in the Mountains - Blue Grass Concert
A community celebration, The Biscuit Burners, Bearfoot Bluegrass and Open Road Bluegrass, this bluegrass concert starts at 7:00pm. For more information call Strings in the Mountains at 970-879-5056.

17 - 18  17th Annual Mustang Round-up
More than 350 Mustang owners from Colorado Mustang clubs will convene in Steamboat for the weekend. Activities include a timed event on Friday and a "Show and Shine" on Saturday. Both events are free and open to the public. For more information, please call (970)879-0880

17- through August 23 - PRCA ProRodeo Series Kick-Off
The Steamboat Springs Pro Rodeo Series is an annual summer rodeo series sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and the Women?s Professional Rodeo Association. There are 21 professional rodeo performances over 10 weeks at the Romick Arena at the Howelsen Hill Park Complex in downtown Steamboat Springs. The rodeo takes place every Friday and Saturday night at 7:30pm starting on June 17th and running through August 20th. The July 4th rodeo starts at 7:00pm. Late June - Mid August: Strings in the Mountains Music Festival
A world-class festival in our own back yard! Strings features award-winning musicians for an adventurous lineup of chamber music, jazz, country, bluegrass, and children's concerts (970) 879-5056.

2 - 4    102nd Annual Cowboy Roundup Days and July 4th Celebration.
Steamboat Springs shows off its Western heritge during one of the city's longest standing traditions. The festival will include bands, children's activities, rodeos, fireworks and a parade down Lincoln Ave. For more information, please call (970) 879-0880

Sept 2 - 5 Wild West Air Fest - Labor Day Weekend Celebration
The Wild West Air Fest takes off this summer as part of the new and improved Steamboat Springs Labor Day weekend celebration. Wake up under the Steamboat Springs sky complete with hot air balloons and then head to the Bob Adams Airport. This portion of the event salutes the 50th Anniversary of the Bob Adams Airport with airplane and helicopter rides, a vintage aircraft fly-in, 25 planes for a static display as well as the radio controlled shows which will start at 10 am and 1pm on both Saturday and Sunday. There will be an Angel Flight display and a tribute to the troops in Iraq. Other activities over the weekend include a free concert on Saturday, the 4th Annual Art on the Mountain and more thrilling air displays with para-gliders, hang gliders and skydivers. 16 - 18  15th Annual Fall Foliage Festival & Brewfest
See Steamboat at it's most beautiful - the changing colors of the season Fall colourswill leave you in awe in Colorado's finest Rocky Mountain playground! Celebrate the autumn colors with festivities including polka band and dancers, brewfest featuring 30 regional breweries, children's jubilee, arts and crafts fair.
