A Burgess Creek locals' curiosity got the better of him last week and we snapped him checking out the latest Moving Mountains property - the Bear Chalets, currently under construction. If you were wondering about the origin of the name...here's a clue!

Bears are a common sight in our neighborhood in the Spring and the Fall. In spring bears wake from their winter hibernation and start to forage for food. Following a big snowfall year, such as the winter we just enjoyed, food is less plentiful, forcing bears to become more opportunistic in their search for the next meal.

Our neighborhood is on the boundary of the Routt National Forest so we often see bears cruising the neighborhood in search of a dumpster left open or trash can not fully secured.

This bear was just plain curious, and decided to explore the chalets to see if the construction workers had left him a snack.

The Bear Chalets continue to move towards completion in December. Latest update - the roof is on, windows are in, plumbing completed and electricians moving in this week. We already have a few bookings, so this looks like it will be a popular edition to our luxury home collection.
