The Moving Mountains Team:
Don't mess with the chef!
Heather Craigen
Heather's cooking was legendary aboard ESII and she has continued to refine her skills at Cordon Bleu, the Culinary Institute of America and most recently at the International School of Baking in Oregon. In July 2001 she was featured on the cover ..from her cookbook "Simple Pleasures"of the Food Section of the Denver Post.

She has authored her own cookbook - "Simple Pleasures" which highlights some of her most successful creations, plus many old favorites

She has skied since her high school years but switched to snowboarding on arrival in Steamboat. Now she alternates between the two disciplines as she attempts to keep up with her kids Maddie & Chili.

Wooahhh!Robin Craigen
Robin's organizational skills always kept the ship running smoothly in the islands. As a professional yachtsman for several years, he covered many ocean miles. He has competed in many international regattas and offshore races including the Robin & MaddieSydney-Hobart, Newport - Bermuda, New York - Southampton Trans-Atlantic, and Fastnet Races. Several years in the European Ski Travel industry in the 80's, including 2 years in the French Alps, provided the experience to help develop a catered chalet program for Steamboat Springs.

He is a keen skier and snowboarder and will be happy to show you round the Steamboat ski area and all its highlights in the winter, or tour the area by mountain bike in the summer.

Tammy Blocher
With a lifelong background in travel from airlines and hotels to one of the leading destination clubs in the USA Tammy has found new challenges joining the Moving Mountains Team this past winter. Her work and her passion for travel has taken her round the globe and her experience with luxury travel was a natural fit for the Moving Mountains lodging services.

She handles guest reservations and inquiries for lodging as well as the numerous requests for travel services that we receive. Tammy's excellent rapport with guests and her personal attention to detail has enabled us to maintain a high level of service for all of our guests.

Tony Hancock
Another world traveller, Tony has spent time in Asia, Australia, New Zealand, USA, Peru & Canada over the past 15 years.

After working two ski seasons in New Zealand and trekking extensively in Nepal, he found Tony Hancockthat he was most at home in the fresh mountain air of Colorado. Tony is embarking on his fourth winter with us after spending his second full summer here. This is his 9th winter in Steamboat so you can figure that he likes working here! Tony is not a person who can sit still for long and his limitless supply of energy is a great asset to the team.

Tony is a keen skier and snowboarder. His smiling face is either because powder is in the forecast or the fact that he lured his girlfriend Britta to join our team.

BrittaBritta Kern
Britta spent the last 10 years as a consultant in the world of advertising and sports marketing in Germany. She escaped to Steamboat for the first time early 2005 to spend some time with her boyfriend Tony and stayed 3 months.

Now she returns for her third season with the Moving Mountains team. She has developed a love for the mountain life and chalet hospitality. Her true love is reserved for the Moving Mountains Labs, Elli & Lola (Tony is slowly getting used to this...).

With pounds of enthusiasm, a pinch of "german discipline" and lots of humor she will be the dimples of your already big smile!

Toby Shaw
Toby's mountain experiences have included time spent in the French resorts of Le Grand Massif and Chamonix. Now he is keen to hone his skills stateside.

Toby just completed a 3 year asphalt roofing apprenticeship so he brings new skills to our operation. He will be the trusted man whom gets you to lifts on time and keeps everything in your chalet operational (and if needed he can fix a leak in the roof..!).

Like many Brits he has a keen interest in Football (soccer) and Indian curry!

Kevin Keefe & Mercedes Pombo
Kevin is originally from Colorado and spent part of his childhood coming to Steamboat where he developed his love for skiing and the outdoors. He studied cooking at San Francisco's culinary school which gave him the taste for new flavors taking him traveling around the world.

Mercedes comes from Uruguay and has spent time living in Israel, Turkey and Italy where she developed her skills in languages. She also spent time in the Red Sea where she became a dive master and what led her to start working in the yachting industry.
Now, after spending last winter in Vail, Colorado together with Kevin, she has a new love for the mountains and is looking forward to getting better at snowboarding.

They met each other while working on a sailing yacht in Spain and since then have been traveling and enjoying their love for meeting new people, food and nature.
